Schooled at St Michael's in Bloemfontein South Africa, Jane went on to obtain a diploma in fashion design from Wits Technikon South Africa, before travelling and working in the U.K at various fashion houses. Jane obtained her Bachelor of Visual arts from UNISA in 2012 and has been exhibiting in both the Sasol new signatures and Ekurhuleni (Thami Mnyeli arts awards) since 2010, as well as the Springs art Gallery 30/30 exhibition. Having exhibited various works on postmodern feminism and being invited to a collaborative exhibition at the springs art gallery (South Africa) in 2011, Jane has begun to focus on technology and the way it affects our existence with a futuristic outlook on the impact and advance of the new technological era, drawing on influences from science fiction to modern scientific advances in communications and technology.
Jane has traveled extensively visiting various galleries across Europe and regularly attends invitations to openings and exhibits in Johannesburg, having recently returned from an arts residency in Istanbul Turkey where she took part in the Palimpsest exhibition in April 2014. Born in Johannesburg; South Africa in 1974, Jane is married with two daughters.
